Chinese Women to Earn More than Indian Women by 2020


Bangalore: Financial security is an independence women have always hoped for, with the new wave of women taking active participation in earning a living. They have also made considerable efforts to climb the financial ladder. As per a recent report by the Boston Consulting Group on the potential earning of women, it is estimated that the Chinese women workforce will make $4 trillion by 2020 earned as salaries. Chronologically it was $350 billion in 2000 which rose to $680 in 2005 and made it to a total of $1.3 trillion in 2010 and is still on a rise.

As per the report, 62 percent of the U.S. women felt safe and secure about their work, where as in China 88 percent of the women feel strong about their work and its future. As for the job security 44 percent women stood affirmative in U.S. while 87 percent women in China felt positive about not losing their job.

The trend noticed in India showed that $900 billion will be taken home as salaries by the 158 million working women by 2020. The amount has increased from $280 billion in 2010, and also shows an increase in the number of working women from 134 million employees in 2010.
