Bangalore: Education has become an indispensable part of our life and its importance spreads among the Indian women too. With the ray of education shining upon the various sections of the society, there are no fields where women are not being a part of. So, let us take a glimpse of 10 Indian states where literacy rate of women is at its peak, according to the latest census-

10. Andaman and Nicobar islands:

Andaman and Nicobar islands, the home to underwater adventure activities and tourism, in India is among those Indian states where the rate of women literacy is very high. The literacy rate in this region is 86.27 percent. And out of it, 81.8 percent are women literate, while among men, 90.1 percent are literate. From primary education to PhD level courses, the institutes in Andaman and Nicobar Islands offer it all. The islands may not have many colleges offering professional courses but the notable ones present contribute to the literacy rate of the Union Territory.
