Amazon Appstore Arrives In India, Challenges Google Play

Bangalore: Soon after the announcement of its arrival, the two-year old Amazon Appstore has entered India as an alternative to the well-known Google Play store. The store has gone on board carrying a cartload of utilities and games for Android users residing in the realm and other 200 additional nations, reports Mobiletor.

However, Google Play will no more be the dominant source for providing the necessary Android apps as there will exist a tinge of competition between both the stores when it comes to users’ benefits rather than delivering utilities.

Some of the famous games such as Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled 2, Cut the Rope: Time Travel HD and more could be found in the paid section of the portal whereas the free app category consists of Angry Birds friends, Temple Run 2, Subway surfers, Fruit Ninja and others. Unlike the Mountain View folks’ digital outlet, the store doesn’t stick onto localized pricing although it is made available in India now.
