TiE to partner with IIMK to Conduct E-Summit

Bangalore: TiE Bangalore in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode will be conducting an Entrepreneurship Summit (E-Summit) at IIM Kozhikode on 3rd and 4th September.
Through this summit IIM plans to bring business leaders to its campus and facilitates interaction between Venture Capitalists, seasoned & upcoming entrepreneurs, academia and students. The summit is the first of its kind in Kerala and will include activities like:
⢠Entrepreneurial Lecture Series - Knowledge sharing and mentoring sessions by esteemed leaders, entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists
⢠Start-up Fair - Summer Internship and live project recruitment by Startups - to be held on Day 1, 3rd September 2011
⢠Investment Fair - Venture Capitalists selecting startups for funding in the range of $2million to $5million - to be held on Day 2, 4th September 2011
⢠Entrepreneurial workshops on "How to expand your business" and "How to reduce cost in a start-up business" by veterans in these particular areas
⢠Panel Discussion on "Raising Investments for a Start-up Business" by entrepreneurs who have raised investments from various sources in the year 2011
⢠Entrepreneurial train journey for venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, startups and participants from Bangalore to Kozhikode.
The Investment Fair at E-Summit 2011 provides a platform for the Startups in need of investments and the Venture Capitalists looking for such startups to come together at one place and participate in a pitching round.
E-Cell, IIMK will be charging an amount of Rs 1000/- per person for the two days for participants coming to its campus. This will include participation in all of their events, to and fro travel from the campus (to by the train and fro by Volvo bus), and accommodation for the participants for the two days of the summit. Food coupons will be provided at minimal cost which can be availed for breakfast/lunch/dinner for both the days.
