SRM University announces admissions for 2014-15

Tamil Nadu : Admissions open on 15th December 2013 for domestic students to SRM University, ranked No. 1 in India (India Today, Factual Ranking, 2013) through the easy to use online admission process and the direct sale of application forms through banks, post offices and the university campuses. Foreign and NRI students can apply online.
Speaking on admissions this year, SRM University Chancellor Dr T.R. Pachamuthu said, “every year around 2, 00,000 students register for admission in SRM University, from 48 countries and across India, and the numbers are growing. Various surveys have shown the preference students have for SRM University, on account of its ranking and recognition, infrastructure, quality of programs, research, incredible campus placement record, city location of campuses and the diversity of students. It is our endeavour to be among the world’s top universities soon”.
The admission process, in keeping with contemporary practices, has been simplified. It takes just 3 steps:
SRM University has instituted several scholarships, grants and assistantships based on academic merit and financial need. The Founders Scholarship is one of them, which covers full waiver of tuition fees, hostel fees and transportation, along with a monthly stipend to toppers in school finals, SRMEE, JEE (Mains), JEE (Advanced), achievers in sports, candidates belonging to the minority community and those who are differently abled.
According to the Director of Admissions at SRM University, the online admission process is a big hit with prospective students, and went on to add,“We are delighted at the response we are getting from students to the online admission process. - Apply online or download application from the website, or buy it from designated post offices, banks and the university campuses in Chennai or New Delhi.
- Appear for SRMEE for admission to designated courses and programmes.
- Attend the transparent counselling process which is based on ranking in SRMEE and eligibility, and on merit for courses which are not covered by the entrance examinations.
