NITIE will organise EnVision 2011

Bangalore: National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai (NITIE), is organizing ‘EnVision’ a Carbon Neutral event on Friday, 26th August 2011. It is the flagship event of PGDISEM (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environment Management) programme, focused on sustainability as an operational metric.

EnVision is an event which stresses on Sustainability. It provides a platform where corporate delegates and B School students come together to discuss the vital role of Corporate Sustainability in today’s business scenario. The daylong event will contain five main events –

"Ecolloquium" is a corporate panel discussion where stalwarts from the industry come together to focus upon a pressing issue in the world of Environment, Corporate Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility. This year, the panel will discuss – "Gauging risks and benefits in Responsible Business: Companies’ Tryst with Reality". "The Green Lantern" is an individual speaker session, with the theme "Sustainability". "EnGauge" a live case study competition, based on recycling, repurposing and down cycling, in association with InterfaceFlor . "EnQUIZitive" an Enviro Business quiz and “Almanac” a poster making competition with the theme: "Energy Conservation – First step towards a better tomorrow".

Mr. Viraal Balsaari Senior Researcher, Harvard Business School, India, Ms. Aloka Majumdar, Senior Vice President, Corporate Sustainability, Group Public affairs - HSBC INDIA, Mr. Vishaal Agrawal, VP Business Development - Batelle India, Mr. Mahesh Chandak, South Asia EHS Head – Monsanto, Mr. Ulhas Palikar, Director, AFR Business – ACC, Mr. Satish Karnik, Vice President, Group Corporate Safety Health & Environment, will share their thoughts during the function.

This year, EnVision is expecting participation from the top B-schools of India such as the IIMs, FMS Delhi, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM, IIT Bombay), Jamanlal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies(JBIMS), Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS) and KJ Somaiya School of Management (KJSOM).
