Maruti Suzuki to provide management education to its employees

Bangalore: Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has tied up with International Management Institute (IMI) for its executives to gain management education. These executives will be enrolled in IMI’s highly rated PGDM (part-time) program at their Delhi campus. Dr. Pritam Singh, Director-General, IMI, and Mr. S.Y. Siddiqui, Managing Executive Officer(Admin- HR, Finance, IT and Corporate Services), Maruti Suzuki, signed in the MoU.

Maruti Suzuki will sponsor executives every year for the PGDM (part-time) program at IMI. The three-year program at IMI has classes scheduled in the evenings on Friday and Saturday and during the day on Sunday, making it ideal for working executives in the NCR.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S Y Siddiqui said: “This association with IMI will help our executives to gain world class management education at IMI. We are confident that the team Maruti Suzuki will gain from the extensive experience of the IMI faculty which imparts business education to executives from a cross-section of the Industry. I am sure that this will help develop future industry leaders within Maruti Suzuki. ”

Keeping in step with Mr. Siddiqui’s views, Dr. Pritam Singh said: “The fact that India’s automobile giant Maruti Suzuki has chosen IMI to be its management education partner reflects the institute’s intellectual capital. It goes without saying that after the completion of their education, Maruti Suzuki executives will return to their organization as better business managers with skills to take on future leadership positions.”

IMI is also conducting management development programs for industry personnel for several years. Recently, IMI successfully completed a 3 week training program, conducted in India and Europe, for some very senior executives of The Reserve Bank of India.
