IIM Calcutta: Executive MBA in Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing

A residential one year Executive MBA program in Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing (PGPEX-VLM) is being jointly conducted by three leading Indian institutes namely, IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. This course has been put together with a focus to manufacturing which will help in understanding the transformation of an industry in tough times.

PGPEX-VLM has been designed by the above mentioned institutes in consultation with industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council (NMCC) and Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Admission Procedure
• Basic eligibility: Self-sponsored candidates should have a 5(min.) to 10(max.) years of work experience in manufacturing or related sectors; holding responsibilities in production planning and control, plant engineering, maintenance, supply chain, etc. Sponsored candidates or candidates on study leave should have a minimum of 5 years work experience as above with no upper limit.
• Entrance exam: Candidates will be selected based on their academic background, which has to be first division or first class from high school board examination level to graduation level, relevant work experience, employer’s recommendations, bio-data and essays, performance in the Aptitude Test and Personal Interview will be conducted jointly by IIMC, IITK and IITM. GMAT score can be substantiated for academic credence.

• Number of seats: 35 to 40 seats.
• Fee structure: INR 9,00,000
• Test used: Aptitude test and personal interview will be jointly conducted by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras. GMAT score will be welcomed in order to substantiate academic credence.
