Highest Paid Business Heads with an MBA

Bangalore: To make it to the top, hard work isn’t enough- skills, talent and education, of course, is important. They are the best at what they do and have remained at the top year after year. So here is a list of India’s top CEOs, corporate honchos and business magnates who have done their business studies.

Ratan Tata: The chairman of Tata Sons graduated from Cathedral and John Cannon School, Mumbai, did his Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from Cornell University in 1962. Then he headed off to the US to do an advanced Management program by Harvard Business School in 1975, which is designed for someone already in the field and wants to better their prospects. Ratan Tata has an income whose net worth is US $ 970 million as of 2011.

Mukesh Ambani: The chairman and MD of Reliance Industries studied in The Scindia School, Gwalior and is a chemical engineer from the Institute of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai. Mukesh Ambani pursued his MBA from Stanford University and with a personal wealth valued at U.S. $29 billion; Mukesh Ambani is the world’s fourth richest person.

Rahul Bajaj: After attending St. Stephen’s College Delhi for a BA in Economics and the Government Law College Bombay for LLB, Rahul Bajaj did an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1964. He has also been awarded the Padma Bhushan (in 2001) and listed twentieth on the Forbes India’s Richest in 2010.

Anil Ambani: The Chairman of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group completed his Bachelor of Science from Mumbai University and went ahead to complete his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. The same university later honoured Dhirubhai Ambani with the Dean’s Medal for setting an outstanding example of leadership.

Francisco D'Souza: He has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation. He did his bachelor degree from the University of East Asia, Macau, his MS and MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. His total remuneration for the fiscal year 2010 has been U.S. $11,182,544.
