CAT 2011 bulletin released; Registrations to begin August 17

Bangalore: IIM Calcutta released the bulletin of CAT 2011 on Sunday, August 7, 2011. CAT 2011 will be held in a 20 day test window from Saturday, October 22, 2011 to Friday, November 18, 2011.
The following are some of the most important information or CAT 2011 bulletin.
CAT 2011 Eligibility:
Candidates with atleast 50 per cent marks in a Bachelorâs degree or with equivalent CGPA can apply. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) candidates; the percentage required is 45 percent.
Candidates pursuing final year of graduation can also apply provided they can submit a certificate of their eligibility latest by June 30, 2012 from the Principal/ Registrar of his or her college stating that the candidate has fulfilled all the requirements of obtaining the Bachelorâs Degree on the date of the issue of the certificate.
Cat 2011 Registration:
The CAT 2011 vouchers will be available from the Axis Bank branches from Wednesday, August 17, 2011 and the last day to obtain the voucher is Monday, September 26, 2011. The cost of the CAT 2011 Voucher is Rs. 1600.The candidate has to visit www.catiim.in website for registration on purchasing the CAT 2011 voucher. The registration window starts from Wednesday, August 17, 2011 and closes on Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
CAT 2011 will be held across 36 cities. Candidates can choose their test center across these cities by visiting the CAT 2011 website. The result of CAT 2011 will be declared on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. The candidates are advised to keep the print out of their score card.
13 IIMs, including IIM Ahemdabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Kashipur, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, RGIIM Shillong, IIM Tiruchchirappalli and IIM Udaipur will accept CAT 2011 scores.
The CAT2011 website has not yet declared the list of the non-IIM institutes which will accept the CAT 2011 scores.
