Bangalore: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is preparing to launch its first online Common Management Online Test (CMAT) which is intended to act as a key MBA entrance test for the AICTE approved management institutes.
Just like the IIMs follow the process for its Common Admission Test (CAT), AICTE has asked education technology companies to put forward proposals to conduct the exam. AICTE is scheduling its first CMAT from 20 September to 28 September, 2012.
The AICTE exam is likely to be taken by more than 250,000 candidates across the country. AICTE will organize/conduct the CMAT with the idea of selecting suitable students for their post-graduate programmes in management. The test is to last for about 3 hours containing multiple choice questions and is anticipated to be administered all over India through test centers covering as many venues as necessary.
