Bangalore: Most of the students are confused about what they should do after graduation. This is a crucial time to decide something on your higher education. Here are some reasons to help those students who are on the fence of whether to choose an MBA or not. You should not fill up MBA form without knowing what it entails. And you should not blindly apply for MBA course just because of following reasons.

You can go through these points if you are facing parental or some other peer pressure for doing an MBA. It could help you to save your fortune, time and money by not doing an MBA.

To start your own business

You don’t need to attend business school to understand the real business strategies. You can maximize your productivity and improve your result with little time and effort. And you can easily learn business skills without spending a lot of money. Just do a reality check and find how many top businessmen in India today have a certified MBA. So it is better to spend time to generate big innovative idea than to waste your time for an MBA certificate and making a business plan that will never get you a loan.

When you can’t afford it

Be practical and think about the possibilities. Everybody will have dreams but don’t stretch yourself to do an MBA from a top school if you don’t have the big amount of money in your pocket. There is no point taking a loan if you have to pay it back rest of your life. There are so many things you can do with your current education. An MBA is not everything; you can achieve even more without an MBA. What matters here is your talent and motivation.

Because your friend also did it

Don’t ever go for an MBA degree as a form of life avoidance. The danger comes when your job makes you feel like you want to jump off a rock face, then often anything in the world looks better. The better thing you can do is to try out different things find out where your passion lies. Don’t be a victim of the ‘herd mentality’ by pursuing a business degree blindly.

Just for a career push

It is obvious that an MBA is not required for business success. You can find hardly any MBA among Apples top ranks. Once the jobs that opened up in the market for graduates may now available only for MBA students. But this doesn’t mean you give into the pressure. It really won’t matter if you don’t know how you are going to apply the MBA to your career. You might be successful in getting a job, but you’ll be inactive very soon.

For a big pay check

Most of the MBA aspirants would believe that an M.B.A. is the ticket to huge paychecks and unlimited career growth. Students get picked up straight from the campuses of a few good B-schools for hefty pay checks; it doesn’t mean the same is going to happen to everyone. If you are an MBA grad from an ordinary B-school, don’t consider yourself to be any different than those from the top schools.
