Admissions

PGDM, PGDM IB & PGDM- Finance

 Admission Procedure

Students with valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent scores and those intending to take the CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent exam in '2012/2013' may also apply.

Short-listed candidates will be called to participate in the Group Discussions and Personal Interviews at designated test centres: For details please refer to the insert captioned 'Admission Calendar’.

Final selection will be based on ‘composite parameters’ to include:

the CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent scores, consistent academic record in Class X and XII, overall personality, easy in the application form and the extra/co-curricular activities, work experience (if any) and performance in the Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.

Since the CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent score is only an input in the selection process, it is possible for a candidate with a lower CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent score to be selected for GD/PI and to be offered admission, in preference to a candidate with a higher CAT/XAT/GMAT/IIFT/MAT or equivalent score on account of better performance in other criteria.

Placement

Companies are invited to the campus and to select students, either for the IIP or for Final Placements, or both, at a mutually convenient day/time. Once students get an offer for an Internship from an organization, they cannot try for the same with other organizations, either through the Placement Cell or on their own. If they receive an offer for Final Placement, they cannot continue to be part of the placement process. Once they get an offer, a decision must be taken by the student and formally communicated to the Placement Cell, which will then inform the companies accordingly.

PROCESS

    Introduction

    Pre-Placement Talk

Expression of Interest Form (to be filled up by the student, after the PPT)

Written Test (if any), Group Discussion, Personal Interview

    Final Offer

The Placement Cell coordinates the entire process on campus and provides all the facilities required by the companies for the pre-placement and recruitment procedure. IFIM ensures a friendly placement process and support. It gives the students an opportunity to select a career in their chosen area of interest and the recruiters a chance to choose the right candidate as per their requirements.

Sports & Wellness

Stress is a big enemy of professional excellence and can result in career breakdowns for many. It has been scientifically proven that stress can be well managed if the body is in fighting fit shape. A shapely body/figure provides a good first impression which in life can turn out to be the cause for making or breaking a good deal. It can also help increase endurance and with this enhanced endurance one can easily win over those who tire out early.

With this in mind IFIM in line with the Get Ahead Doctrine is investing into building competence for imparting education on wellness and personality. The faculty of IFIM believes that a good body and a sound personality can provide our students with that cutting edge which is required to "Get Ahead". Thus the faculty of IFIM is keen on making participation in wellness activities as compulsory for all our students under the aegis of a trained fitness professional.

A regular dose of work outs from the wellness department will ensure that our students develop a good physique and also build the required endurance to withstand stress going forward. It will also develop physical discipline which will help create a great foundation for knowledge, skill and personality.

The students are divided in to 5 houses and each of the activities are given points.
