GNDEC - Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Ludhiana, Fees, Courses, Admission Date Updates
With this mission, a Polytechnic was started in 1953 and Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College was established in 1956. The Trust deed was registered on 24th February 1953 with a commitment by The Nankana Sahib Education Trust to uplift the vast weaker section of Indian polity comprising Rural India by admitting 70% students every year from Rural Areas. This commitment was made to the nation on 8th April, 1956. The day when foundation stone of the College Building was laid by Late Dr. Rajendra Prasad Ji, the First President of India.
 
Nearly 10,000 graduate and 3000 Post Graduate Engineers have passed out from this college during the last 50 years and are at present successfully employed in India & abroad.The college is now ISO 9001-2008 Certified, NBA accredited and have signed MoU with IOWA University [USA] for exchange of students and faculty.

Short Term Goals
 
To keep faculty members abreast with the latest trends and developments in Research, Technology and Teaching methodologies especially through interaction, by sending them to other premier Institutions for research and by conducting AICTE-ISTE sponsored STTPs in our own College.
To motivate the faculty to remain exposed to the Industrial processes & activities.
To go for the Deemed to be University status.
At least 40% of the students should graduate with Distinction/Honors in all branches.
To arrange Special classes for rural students for improving their Communication Skills.
All information's concerning students/ staff to be made available On-line.
Enhance the Hostel accommodation especially for Girls and improve the existing hostel facilities.
To make the Campus green (planting at least 5000 more saplings) and chemical free.
To go for the energy auditing of the whole campus.
College with rural roots excels in games and we shall strive to produce at least one (may be two! ) national level players in four years.
 
Masters in Business Administration
 
Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) has started a 2-year Full Time MBA programme from the academic session 2007-2008 with an initial intake of 60 students. The programme is affiliated to PTU ( Punjab Technical University ) Jalandhar and duly approved by AICTE ( All India Council Of Technical Education ).
Continuing with its legacy of providing quality and professional education to the students, the Department of Business Administrations at GNDEC shares the vision to be a leading institution for Business education and research in the region. The MBA programme provides a foundation in general management functions and a range of specialist options to cater to the ever increasing demand of managerial talent in the industry.

The Department of Business Administration at GNDEC believes in providing the best of the infrastructural facilities for the students which includes : Fully furnished class rooms with audio visual aids, Departmental library, well stocked with reference and the text books , about 30 Management E-Journals , Business Magazines and Newspapers.

The Existing links of GNDEC with corporate clients as Whirlpool. Hero, Gammon, Vardhman etc would be helpful in securing the training and the final placements of the MBA students. Full fledged training and placement wing of the GNDEC would work hand in hand with the department to arrange for the best student placements.
