Thoughts on Education system of our country
The Education System is OK in Indian when you compare it to rest of the world. But in isolation if you see it, we will find that it still needs to have more sync with the Industry or the utility part of it. What is being taught is not, what is to be used in later part of the life. The way the education is imparted is also not standard and vary from place to place and school to school. To improve it, we need to have the controlling authority not just controlling the Exams, but also controlling the way the syllabus will be imparted at each school/college level. More research should go in imparting the knowledge and its utility in the future life of the pupil.
My role model
For me Bill Gates and Amitabh Bachchan has been two persons whom I admire a lot. Both has lived life on there terms, has fallen & risen up at different time, but still hold their ground. And they have the perseverance to last long and they still go on to break new grounds defining their age.
Couple of years from now
I see myself heading an IT Corporate or heading an IT setup of a big corporate in a couple of years time.
Important decision
All the decisions that you make are the best at the time when they are made. But looking back and seeing their impact you try to judge what was the best of them all. For me the best decision were those where I fought for some decisions which looked bad at the time when they where taken, but I gut feelings and experience gave me confidence to go with it and at the end they all came through. Though not always I got all the appreciation that was due, but the satisfaction of seeing the desired output made the decision look great.
Degree that I recommend
For me, my degrees and certificate for my kind of work are enough. Though I go on learning from my every day work. My continued efforts of keeping my PMP certificate active, by getting PDUs will go on.

For others to follow my steps in my career progression, a degree in Computers, Management and some special certification like PMP/Prince2 will be needed.
My achievements
I developed ERP's for multiple organization. Setup the IT departments for Organization from Scratch. I have managed big teams, and have helped them climb heights in their desired career paths, counselled them to help them take their decisions. My domain knowledge of vast range of industry, helps me to analyze each problems clearly and with more experience to back my decisions.
My strongest skill
People Management
Understanding and working with any New Environment easily and quickly
Problem Analysis
Decision Taking
Communication
IT knowledge and understanding
Culture Sensitivity
My family background
I am the eldest son. My father is retired from government service. My brother is a dean in a Fashion college in Ludhiana, Punjab. My wife is an house wife and my only son studies in class 7 in Delhi.

I was born and brought up near Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
Brief description about me
I am a PMP Certified IT Project Manager having more than 17 years of Experience. Currently I am heading the IT Department of a Textile Company in Vietnam. We are setting up ERP and other applications to smooth-en our IT support for the Apparel Manufacturing unit.
Ensuring success
My interest grows in lot of fields, but for me the most interesting thing is the mysteries of life. I keep-on studying life and its creations in different form, specially in human form. To help me grow and develop in life, I use my experience of life and other life's those I study. I do meditation at times to keep myself focused and align my path of life, to help me reach my ultimate destination of fulfillment in everything that I do.
Influenced by
At every stages of life you have different influences. When I was young my mother influenced me a lot by showing me the value of perseverance in odd times. I come from a middle class family, where the ups and down are truth of life. As I grew, my teachers had influenced on my different behaviors to show me what to expect when you do something. These influence still help me to take decisions at various juncture. My father's hard work for running the family inspired me in my youth, to understand the value of putting effort on whatever you do. The inspiration still inspires me, when the goal at times are fluttering and the expectation for a work result keep on changing. As of today my friends and colleagues inspires me with their deeds, which always leaves behind for me some teaching to be used for my next course of action.
Initiative to develop a country
Developed country is not a certificate that you get from someone else. It is in the mindset of the people. The deeds you do and those that are projected inside and outside the country make the perception of the people about the country. For the professionals I can only say that instead of taking all that is happening in the country as negative, they should see the positive side of it and help to develop it more and weed off the negativity. The positive energy in the country can bring the change that is required of as today. The legislation, state of being and the culture, will follow if we have a positive attitude towards the development of the country.
Qualities needed to become a successful leader
There are multiple types of leadership, each requiring a different set of skills. But for me, and my style of leadership, I like my team to be guided not commanded. For me a leader should have the ability to have a vision to achieve the goal. An understanding of the path to follow to achieve the goal. To know the strength and weekness of the team and use this to plan the path for the goal. Go with the team, guide them when they are doing good, pull them when they are doing wrong, tell them about the things they are doing wrong and the ways to correct it. Be in front when there is a danger of failure, be on the back when there is chances of success. Be a good communicator and a listener. Share the laurels with team and protect the team from brickbat.
Important lesson learned
As you go along in a long career path as I have been, I have got a fair share of lessons to help me guide future course of life. The biggest thing I have learned is to double check your trusts and to triple check the person/reason you don't trust. Experience may not always be the best guide, every situation needs a special and individual decision, check the facts and the condition on hand, before you make your decisions.
More about myself
Life is not about what we do in our work life.. It is lot more in what we do/don't do in our daily life. A proper life-work balance is needed to shape up the individual.
