what is 'st' 'nd' 'rd' and 'th'.i mean what sort of extension it is.
what is the use of sup method...???

Its not an extension its just the short forms,
st --> 1st ie first
nd --> 2nd ie second
rd --> 3rd ie third
th --> 4th ie fourth
