CSS Images

I am on the CSS Spans topic and have taken the Assignment on CSS Span. How do i insert images in CSS. I dont think this has yet been discussed in CSS so far.

Ya you can insert images in normal HTML mode. only if you want to write some texts top of the image, then only you have to use background images.

Thank you very much for the direction. However, the assignment on CSS Spans says the page must contain images. Do i need to use CSS for backgrounds or can i insert images in normal HTML mode?

Please go through this chapter "CSS Backgrounds" in this chapter explained how to use background images in css
