Well, this is tricky still I will try to answer. HTML is the base for all the browsers to show up any page and AJAX is a Javascript Extension. One has to write Javascript/AJAX codes inside the HTML and to generate any result from browsers, it is required to have basic HTML knowledge and when you talk about AJAX, if you want some dynamic effects in HTML you have to add AJAX functionality in it. HTML created a static page, where as AJAX make it dynamic, more interesting, more participation is availed. one is required to learn both if wanted to excel, and how better you use the combination is the best win. now unusual answers, bread is HTML, butter is AJAX, in cream-biscuit, cream is AJAX and its biscuit is HTML.
