Shridevi Institute of Engineering & Technology (SIET) is an ISO Certified engineering college and established in the year 2002 under the auspices of Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust by the founder trustee Dr. M.R. Hulinaykar. The trust is running 16 institutions in various fields – Paramedical, Nursing, Education, Polytechnic, Engineering, Degree Colleges, Pre universities, High Schools, Primary Schools, etc. with 7,000 students and about 1,000 employees. The trust is also running a premier leading “Shridevi Hospital & Diagnostic Centre” in the heart of TUMKUR city.

The Shridevi Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the Best engineering colleges in Karnataka which is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and recognized by Government of Karnataka under the approval from All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The Institute offers seven Undergraduate courses and Six Post Graduate courses with an annual intake of 690 students.

Eligibility:
 Candidates who have passed any Bachelors Degree or equivalent and have secured atlest 50% aggregate marks and 45% in case SC,ST,Cat-I & OBC Category Candidates


Placement cell:
A separate full fledged Training & Placement Cell has been established in the Institute and has made significant progress in a short span of time. Training & Placement Department is fully functional and proactive. The department is geared up to provide its quality services not only in employment to students during studies, but also their employability through well planned and organized training & personality development programmes in their development to face the corporate world.

The Training & Placement Cell is very active and strives to improvise facilities for the students in organizing relevant training events to students & staff, it has been working diligently to secure final placement for student in the past years. The Training & Placement Cell having close liaison with Industries and inviting top companies for the campus drive and conducts interviews in the college and ensure in getting placements in some companies of repute. On an average, 75% of the eligible students have been placed in campus recruitments.
