At present the College has 3187 students and 173 staff within its fold. It offers 13 UG, 17 P.G. 10 M.Phil., 4 Ph.D., programmes, 2 PG-Diploma Courses and One Certificate Course and wide variety of inter-disciplinary and extra-disciplinary courses under the Choice Based Credit System.

It is affiliated to Bharathidasan University and is fast emerging as Numero Uno among the self-financing colleges under the jurisdiction of the University.The campus breathes a rare academic and co-curricular ambience conducive to teaching-learning and research. In 2003 the College gained the distinction of being accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bangalore at the B++ level – the first self-financing college in the Bharathidasan University region to gain this grade and honour.

MBA Programme

The aim of the Department is to provide the best possible exposure to recent trends in Management and mould budding managers who would in due time emerge as leaders of industry and captains of business. The Department offers UG, PG and M.Phil. courses duly approved by the Bharathidasan University and the AICTE. The programmes include a variety of electives and areas for specialization.

The Department organizes annual off-campus seminars in metros and industrial centres for first year and second year MBA students. Experts from different areas of management are invited to give special lectures. Off-campus seminars were conducted at cochin in February 2005, Delhi in 2006, Hyderabad in 2007 and Bangalore in 2008. It is planned to conduct a programme this year at Bangalore in January 2009.
 
The Department conducts inter-collegiate competitions for Management Studies students from other colleges as a national meet under the name “Prudence” every year in the first week of March. Cash prizes and shields are awarded to the winners. The students of MBA classes are permitted to participate in Management Meets conducted in other institutions. The students get awarded in these competitions. S.Suresh Kumar of III year BBA won overall championship and a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- in the competition “Taking Science to the Common Man” in a competition conducted in September 2008.

The Department has the practice of conducting a number of special lectures inviting eminent scholars as resource persons. On an average about 10 such lectures are organize every year. The Department arranges classes in communication skills for the benefit of MBA students. They are also briefed on communication skill before they attend interviews.

Computer Lab

It has 100 systems connected by LAN. It is open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The general facilities offered at the Centre for staff and students are typing, taking copies, scanning and taking copies, maintaining back files etc.

Library

It is open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. It has several sections Central Library Management studies Library, Reference Library, Journal Section etc. It is fully computerized. The user can have access to the books through computerized open access catalog. It has implemented bar coding technology. Renewal of books can be done on-line. It has 19126 books and 69 Journals and 55 Magazines along with other services normally expected from a library.
