BHU - Faculty of Management studies Does not matter, Fees, Courses, Admission Date Updates

Envisaging the increasing need for imparting quality management education and research, the University transformed the Department of Management Studies to an independent Faculty of Management Studies in the year 1984. Since then dedicated efforts were made to run innovative, need based programmes for the corporate world under the dynamic leadership of professors of national and international repute.

Admissions to MBA and MBA (IB) Programmes:

Admissions to MBA and MBA (IB) programmes are made on the basis of combined merit of Written Test (CAT conducted by IIM)-50% weightage; Academic records-20% weightage, Group discussion and Interview (conducted by FMS, BHU)- 30% weightage.

Candidates are required to appear in CAT of the corresponding year and register at FMS, BHU through separate admission application form available at FMS, BHU normally during August-November every year or downloadable from website www.bhu.ac.in or www.fmsbhu.ac.in (pl. refer to the admission notification noramlly released in the last week of August every year for details admission schedule).

Reservations There will be reservations as per GoI Rules (27% OBC; 15 % SC; 7.5 % ST; 3% PC - Horizontal reservation)

Admission under Paid Seat Scheme(Supernumerary): Separate merit list of candidates opted for Admission under Pais Seat Scheme will be drawn from the candidates remaining after completing regular seat admissions.

Admission of Foreign Nationals (Supernumerary) : 15% of the intake. Pl. contact Interantional Centre, BHU for details.

Admission to MBA (AB) Programme:

Admission to MBA (AB) programes is made on the basis of combined merit of Written Test conducted by Banaras Hindu University and Group Discussion and Interview conducted by FMS, BHU. Admission notification normally releases during April-May every year. The admission application forms will be sold from the Counter at Controller of Examinations, BHU

Admission to PGDBA Programme:

Eligibility: (i) Must have Graduate Degree from a recognized Indian University or Equivalent degree from Foreign University; and (ii) The candidate must have at least three years experience either (a) at supervisory level in a business organization or is running own business; OR (b) in service BHU Teachers / Officers.

Admission to PGDBA is made on the basis of the combined merit of Group Discussion and Interview of eligible candidates to be conducted at FMS, BHU.
