Amon Prasad's early days in consulting made him realize the impending requirement for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs) to best utilize their IT infrastructure. "We educate our clients on the value proposition of the latest technologies available, and provide the resources to help them migrate from their antiquated solutions onto the latest virtualization platforms," says Amon Prasad, Founder and CEO, Network Remedy. While virtualization is the critical enabler that reduces carbon footprint and maximizes computer resources, it proves to be expensive from a software and implementation standpoint.

As a managed services provider, the San Jose-based Network Remedy, provides IT consultancy and specializes in complete end-to-end IT support for the SMB market, providing private virtualization solutions and managed hosted services in a cost-effective way. "For clients who do not prefer to have on premise servers, we offer the flexibility of moving their IT infrastructure to the Network Remedy cloud platform," states Prasad. The highly available and secure cloud platform offers business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup plan in a high-grade data center. "Our clients utilize our private, managed hosting environment to host workloads such as database applications, software development, file server, and mail server on a pay-as-you-go basis," adds Prasad. The key advantage for a client translates to 99.99 percent uptime.

Network Remedy can place devices in the network to monitor the traffic, enabling the firm's network operation center to gain visibility into the types of exposure, malware, or traffic that could lead to downtime or security breaches. "We provide a managed network security option where our network?operations team constantly monitors and manages the servers to resolve any error proactively, thereby eliminating or reducing downtime all together," says Prasad.

As a complete IT service provider, Network Remedy's repertoire of services include video conferencing, telephony, firewall penetration testing, and Wi-Fi services that support large groups during events, conferences, and trade shows, to internet services and cloud based backup. "For Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act(HIPAA) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance, we have security experts who can conduct assessments and guide our clients to take remedial measures, if necessary," comments Prasad.

As a strategic value-creating partner, the firm's expertise is in building and managing IT infrastructure, assisting clients right from budgeting, strategy planning, systems design, and implementation, to the ensuing maintenance and support. Network Remedy's prowess benefits clients across verticals such as legal, software, accounting, construction, and manufacturing. For instance, in the wake of the construction boom in the Silicon Valley, a client was finding it cumbersome to manage their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and file servers onsite. Subsequently, Network Remedy migrated the file servers and the accounting servers onto its cloud platform. "Growing from 30 users to over 200 users currently, all they need is high-speed internet. Their multiple construction sites are connected to the common cloud platform where we can add more performance and storage on the fly without them having to invest in additional hardware," says Prasad.

Prasad and his team are fostering an organizational culture that values the importance of providing the highest level of service to their clients, toward building long-term relationships. "We are hosting a radio show in Orange County called "The Cloud," highlighting the value in moving to a cloud based compute platform," he says. In line with the industry trends, as the next step, Network Remedy is envisioning investing in server virtualization and application virtualization platforms and making it available to SMBs.
