6. DO NOT Charter Projects

When handling a project, focus more on the maintenance aspect of the project and do not cut yourself off from the project after delivery. Often it can be seen that IT team sides from the project after the delivery and thus leaves no space for discussions or improvements that the customer wants. Though it reduces your responsibility, it leaves a bad impression on the customers. Be there for them in their times of need.

5. DO NOT Assign Business Sponsors

In any project, a business sponsor is common entity. But in most cases these business sponsors are not dead serious about the project as other people who have put their hard work into it. A true sponsor is ready to go up to any extent to ensure the success of the project and in most scenarios it is difficult to find such people not related to the project, who can offer such dedication to the project.
