The shift from the back office job of Dainik Bhaskar to sales and marketing in Nava Bharat. I realized that i was good at sales and loved interacting with new people. The experience after that was great.

Done Differently:
I would have preferred sitting in the advertising agency and picking up clients and servicing them...... That is something that interests me more now. Planning for the media is also very interesting, which is something i would like to do given an opportunity.

No degrees or certificates is required for a marketing professional excepting the acceptance in the market and the ability to pick up business.

It is basically sales of time slots in a newly launched Bhojpuri Music entertainment channel, Hummra M. Just joined in September. My job is to procure business from all the clients that have a prospective market in Bihar & Jharkhand.

Educated family, both parents(mother - pg & father- engineer)
Working Life Management:
Not good at managing this balance.... Its difficult to adjust to pressure and one has walk a tight rope doing this balancing act.

Now the work ethics have been decaying. Professional confidence is at its lowest.

Started the journey as media and client servicing in 1998 in a small agency and shifted to in house scheduling and coordinator in Dainik Bhaskar in 2003. Joined Nava Bharat(MP&Chstg) as marketing executive in 2003 and by Nov 2005 promoted to Asst Mgr East.Became Branch Head of Dharitri in 2007
Prized Accomplishment(s):
The phenomenal rise from an executive in 2003 August to a Branch Head of a near to a local daily by April 2007.
Advice For New Professionals:
Be sincere to work, changing frequently hampers learning try to stick around in the organization for at least 2 yrs. THERE'S NO SHORTCUT TO SUCCESS
