Startup India & CarDekho Join Forces to Empower Emerging Startups
- DPIIT and CarDekho Group join hands to support Indian startups across key sectors.

In a big push to empower Indian startups, Startup India, an initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CarDekho Group, a leading name in autotech and finance solutions. This partnership aims to boost the growth of startups in sectors like mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technologies.
The collaboration focuses on accelerating the journey of DPIIT recognised startups by providing them with strategic mentorship, access to markets, technology infrastructure, and funding opportunities. Startups will be able to tap into CarDekho’s wide ecosystem of platforms, such as CarDekho, InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, and Crack-ED, helping them reach more users and explore valuable business collaborations.
The partnership will also roll out innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge, targeting key focus areas like electric mobility, sustainable auto-tech, digital finance, and more. These challenges will aim to encourage bold ideas and disruptive startups in line with India’s vision of becoming a global innovation hub.
Another key area of collaboration includes domain specific mentoring from CarDekho’s leadership team and potential co-investment opportunities through its Girnar Vision Fund (GVF). Startups will also benefit from skill development programs, designed to strengthen both entrepreneurial and technical abilities of founders and teams.

Commenting on the partnership, Sanjiv, Joint Secretary at DPIIT, said that aligning corporate expertise with startup innovation will lead to impactful solutions for India’s future. Echoing this, Amit Jain, Co-founder and CEO of CarDekho Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting India's startup talent by offering mentorship, market linkages, and funding.
This collaboration marks another important step in creating a stronger startup ecosystem that is well equipped to tackle the evolving needs of India's tech driven economy.
