The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) has partnered with Bayer Science and Innovation Private Limited to strengthen support for agri-startups through its Agri Centre of Excellence (Agri CoE). The initiative, backed by the Karnataka government, aims to foster innovations that address sustainability, food security, climate resilience, and crop productivity.

The MoU was signed at the C-CAMP campus by Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, Director-CEO of C-CAMP, and Anil Luke Dhanaraj, Principal CI Analyst at Bayer. The partnership will provide mentorship, pilot deployments, knowledge sharing, and market access opportunities to early stage startups.

Dr. Saiyed said, “With Bayer’s global expertise, we aim to scale innovations, increase industry participation, and drive mass adoption of sustainable technologies”. He highlighted that the Agri CoE, launched in 2019, has already supported over 100 deep science and deep tech solutions for agriculture.

Dhanaraj noted that Bayer’s LifeHub in Bangalore is focused on co-creating solutions for smallholder farmers. “We are excited to work with C-CAMP to address challenges in Indian agriculture and foster global collaborations,” he added.
