Lark Finserv Launches API First LAS Platform for Wealth Techs
- Lark Finserv unveils India’s first tech driven credit infrastructure for Lending Against Securities (LAS).
- Enables instant, paperless loans against mutual funds within investment platforms.
- Aims to boost liquidity without disrupting long term investments.
Fintech startup Lark Finserv has launched India’s first API first credit infrastructure for Lending Against Securities (LAS). This move allows wealth tech platforms, brokers, and investment apps to offer instant loans against mutual funds and other investment securities, directly within their apps.
Traditionally, investors needing liquidity had to redeem their mutual funds or approach external lenders. This often disrupted long term returns and investor journeys. Lark’s embedded credit model solves this by enabling seamless access to funds without exiting investments.
The startup’s LAS platform is fully API integrated and supports a multi-lender model. This allows platforms to connect with multiple lending partners at once, offering wider credit coverage and better pricing. Investors benefit from faster access to funds, while platforms retain higher assets under management.
Rohit Pateria, Founder & CEO of Lark Finserv, said “We’re not just offering credit, we’re building infrastructure for the next phase of wealth tech in India”. He also added, “Lending against mutual funds and other securities can unlock massive value for both investors and platforms”.
The LAS platform covers a wide range of assets, including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, REITs, ETFs, and more. This broad coverage helps platforms cater to diverse investor profiles, from first time MF investors to HNIs and institutional players.

India’s mutual fund industry has crossed Rs 60 lakh crore in assets, yet investors often redeem funds early for liquidity. Lark aims to reduce this friction, helping investors stay invested while meeting urgent financial needs.
With its launch, Lark is positioning itself at the intersection of wealth tech and embedded credit, enabling smarter liquidity and growth across the investment ecosystem.
