Meet These Business Gurus of the Indian Diaspora Revolutionizing the 'Kismet' of the US B-Schools


Yash P Gupta

Yash P Gupta is currently the Dean of the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship in Edinburg, Texas.  

Gupta joined this institution from Louisville, Kentucky, where he was president and CEO of Yash Gupta Consulting, a vendor of consulting services for educational institutions and industries based on strategic planning. 

Gupta has extensive experience in academia, having worked at the premier universities in the country such as the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, as Dean and professor; the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, as Dean and Professor of Operations Management. 

He earned his doctoral degree in Management Sciences from the University of Bradford, England. He also holds an MTech in Production Management from Brunel University, and a BSc (Engineering) from Punjab University, India. 

Nitin Nohria 

A scholar of leadership and organizational transformation, IIT-alumni Nitin Nohria is serving as the 10th and current dean of the Harvard Business School. He taught courses across the School's MBA, Ph.D., and Executive Education programs.  

Nohria has written over 50 journal articles, book chapters, cases, working papers, and notes. He also served as an advisor and connoisseur to several large and small companies in different parts of the world. 

Before joining the Harvard Business School faculty in July 1988, Nohria received his Ph.D. in Management from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B. Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
