The Company appointed Redington and Ingram Micro as their retail distributors which inturn brought 10,000 key retail points for Apple India.

Analysts believe that the decision taken on retail pushed the Apple's sales in the country as that helped the company to depend less on telecom operators for its sales which had earlier sold very less.

To increase the demand for iPhone4, Apple had earlier introduced buy back scheme for the customers which had literally doubled its demand more than iPhone5.

Any smartphone could be exchanged and could get a discount of atleast 7000 on iPhone4 was the new scheme introduced by Apple, this was a major hit and allowed the increase in sales.

So, an iPhone4 which costs around 26,500 in India could be bought for less than 20,000.
