World's 10 Cities with Most Traffic Congestion

The global city Los Angeles is the third most congested city in the world in terms of traffic. It is also the most populous city in California and the second most populous in the United States, after New York City. LA has strengths in business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research and has been ranked sixth in the Global Cities Index and ninth in Global Economic Power Index. However, it accounts for great amount of traffic. An average traveler in Los Angeles experienced 72 hours of traffic delay per year, said a study.

Milan, Italy:
Milan is the fourth city in the world with maximum traffic. It is the second-largest city in Italy and is a major world fashion and design capital. The city has a population of about 1.35 million and attracts more than two million annual visitors, which certainly contributes to the high traffic congestion in the city. Milan road system is described by a high rate of traffic congestion, due to the high level of cars per capita and a high number of commuters in the metropolitan area. The congested traffic is also responsible for the high pollution rate in the city.
