Rackspace is one of the most established organizations in IaaS environment. Rackspace also boasts of having many established companies and customers under them who prefer using both- a combination of hosted and IaaS cloud solutions. Rackspace- the second largest IaaS provider, launched in 2008, is also well known for their creation of OpenStack, a cloud operating system which works as an open source provider, developed with the help of NASA in 2010. Rackspace also have recently announced that with OpenStack, customers can really integrate their OpenStack private cloud with their own OpenStack IaaS solutions. Rackspace also offers a number of database services that includes Relational and NoSQL database services that comes up with in-built memory cache. Rackspace’s computing services goes all the way in cloud with auto-scaling, load balancing and Hadoop services. The company also has come up with a content delivery network for the networking and telecom sector.
