6. Medieval Monuments in Kosovo:

Medieval Monuments in Kosovo comprises of four Serbian Orthodox Christian churches and monasteries that were built in the 13th and 14th centuries. With a distinct style of mural painting, they symbolize the fusion of the eastern Orthodox Byzantine and the western Romanesque ecclesiastical architecture to form the so-called Palaiologian Renaissance style. In 2004, UNESCO recognized the Monuments for its outstanding universal value. Later, in 2006 it was included in the danger list due to various reasons like lack of legal status, political instability and a substandard state of conservation and maintenance.

7. Ancient City of Damascus:

Damascus, founded in the 3rd millennium B.C. is one of the oldest cities in the Middle East. It is the centre of a flourishing craft industry, specializing in swords and lace. It is the structure of historical civilizations, constituting a beacon of science and art over time, and a historical encyclopedia which tells a great part of the history of humanity. The city has some 125 monuments from different periods of its history. It is the Syrian conflict that pushes these cities to the danger list of UNESCO.
