4. Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System:

Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System which lies about half a mile off the winward side of the island is the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second longest in the world. It is an outstanding natural system consisting of the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere with offshore islands, several hundred sand cays, mangrove forests, coastal lagoons and estuaries. The Reef provides significant habitat for threatened species such as marine turtles, manatees, Nassau grouper, and the American marine crocodile. But, since the past four years, it has been come up in the danger list mainly done to the devastation to the delicate marine ecosystems by the land developers.

5. Everglades National Park, Florida:

Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States which has been designated as a Wetland of International Importance and an International Biosphere Reserve, in addition to a World Heritage Site. It is a home to over 300 species of birds and is a massively important breeding area for wading birds and serves as a key stopover for species migrating up and down the Americas. With continuous water flow reduction and nutrient pollution, the park greatly needs restoration and as such included in the danger list.
