10 Companies Posing Great Threat To Cisco

HP:

Years before people might have asked the relationship between networking and HP and you might have given the answer- ‘nothing much’. But later on, when HP appointed John McHugh as their networking chief, things miraculously changed from ‘nothing much’ to ‘the No. 2 share vendor’, that too in almost an overnight. Under John McNaugh, HP took advantage of Cisco’s laziness and grabbed some hot shares with value buyers at the access edge. Since then, Cisco and HP, who once were great partners, became bitter rivals as they both started battling for purpose-built products. Today, both the companies are jockeying for the No. 1 position in building integrated data center ‘stacks’ which is a real hot throne in the world of networking.
