Always be down to earth

A successful leader should be down to earth. He does not need to boast of his achievements instead people speak about him. He should be compassionate and have a listening ear even to the lowest level under him. Not only this, they should be appreciated and given importance. An out of box thinking helps in leading successfully. People should feel motivated and inspired when they see him work, when they listen to him. He should be able to set an example so that others follow him. A successful leader should have courage of conviction. A good leader is one who shares his knowledge and skills and tries to develop future leaders. He should never be like a banyan tree under which nothing can grow.
Important decision
I left Fujitsu. This was not an easy decision to make since it was a secure and comfortable job.I left teaching and started recruitment.
Couple of years from now
In addition to recruiting, now I have started writing blogs. This started off or erupted more as a hobby. As and when I get time or when I go through a good article, I get a feeling that I should write about it or rather I should share it with as many people as possible. I found blogging sites as a good option for sharing one’s ideas or thoughts. My first post got a good response which encouraged me to write more. Now I am maintaining three blogs. I see myself as a renowned recruiter and a famous blog writer.

My achievements
I feel proud in calling myself an entrepreneur, an IT recruiter. First of all, even without prior knowledge and experience in HR field, I opted for this. This was no less than a challenge for me as I had no clue where to start from. But with patience and hard work I got a chance to work for a company and I could close the position. This helped me get more work. I got appreciation for my work from the senior HR professionals of my client organisations. They acknowledge my strength of having a good understanding of the IT technical skills which is essential to reach the right candidate in IT industry. I believe in quality work and not mere quantity work which they also admire.

In spite of having no background in writing, I am writing blogs. I am getting favorable responses also. This satisfies my creative
Degree that I recommend
I plan to have a degree or a certification in the field of HR which will broaden my area of work .
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Education system is among those topics which have recently been in the media a lot in India. It certainly needs a BIG transformation from its present structure -right from the primary schooling to the highest degree. As an IT recruiter I have felt that there is a mismatch in the demand and supply of the skills in the market. The skills which companies want today are not being provided in the colleges except for the top notch institutes like IITs and IIMs. To bring the students to that level companies have to spend their time and money on their trainings. Even after that only a selected group of persons get offers from most of the companies and the remaining majority keep hunting for the suitable jobs. This is just one aspect.
Some of the measures can be – Focus on honing skills and talents and practical knowledge rather than giving just degrees, stress on teachers’ education, ban on tuition classes, no corruption during admissions, certifications etc.
My strongest skill
I am a sincere and hardworking professional. Once I give a commitment to someone, I put in my best efforts to do that task. If some work is not within my reach I clearly refuse to take it instead of keeping the other person on hold. I believe in quality work.
My family background
Well, I belong to a middle class family. My husband is in service and we are blessed with two sons.

Initiative to develop a country
India with its well educated human capital has the potential to become the services capital of the world. Professionals by starting their own service startups providing varied and high value services to clients across the world have the potential to turn India into an economic powerhouse
Brief description about me
An Electronics Engineer by qualification, a Manpower Consultant by profession and a blog writer by hobby, would best describe me as an individual.
Ensuring success
I read a lot. In addition, to keep myself fresh I keep trying new things/ideas.
Important lesson learned
Work without passion has no meaning. Hard work, patience and perseverance are very important if anything is to be achieved.
