To my mind Education always remained a greatly respected need. The inclination to take up Education as the service-oriented avocation was thus born in me. Offering education to children is a direct contribution to future of the country. It is a great feeling to be one of the contributors to the country’s future. It gives utmost satisfaction.

Indian Abacus Company with its background in the field of Abacus education has been continuously working to do research in the field and develop products and the supporting-accessories to aid the program benefit the children better and better. Abacus as a tool has had a long history of existence. It metamorphosed itself over hundreds of years from the most primitive stage to the stage it had attained the form that we see it today. Right from the day Mr. Basheer Ahamed CEO., Indian Abacus Pvt. Ltd.,announced before the large audience of Franchisees, Course Instructors and the parents about the company’s initiative to establish Research Foundation in the year 2004, the task started and there has been a steady and continuous flow of efforts going into the Research and Development activities in the field of Abacus as a product impacting to enhance the brain skills in children.
The early stage when Abacus was considered to be only a tool to calculate has changed and in the last few decades the amount of research that has gone into the subject of Abacus usage for calculations and the corresponding impact of it in the development of brain skills is enormous. Abacus today is a tool more for development of brain skills and it also has a strong appeal through the speed & accuracy in mental arithmetic calculations to excite the people more. Mr. Basheer Ahamed, from the Village called Podakkudi, in Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu, India is known for his great contribution to Kids Education, not only in his native state – Tamil Nadu, but in the entire country. Brought up in the rural environment, yet completed schooling and collegiate education – Bachelor in Science – went overseas taking up a business assignment in Kuwait. Good family culture, dedication and hard work could bring him up steadily. After his stay at Kuwait for 14 years, back at Chennai, Mr. Basheer Ahamed was offered to take the reins of Abacus Education which was in the initial phase in October in 1999. He has learnt the job nuances and imbibed corporate culture working with qualified and experienced bosses in different work areas of manufacturing organizations. Experience made him an outstanding personality. Honesty, humility, hard work and having penchant for being perfect are all the qualities, which normally make all outstanding people. He represents such a group. He took thirteen years to reach the enviable position, which he attained today. Mr. Basheer Ahamed is the Chairman and Managing Director for Indian Abacus Pvt. Ltd., Indian Abacus is the Pioneer and the Leader in Abacus & Mental Arithmetic and the latter again a pioneer and progressing towards achieving a similar position.
