Kaspersky Labs

Founded in 1997 by Eugene and Natalia Kaspersky, Kaspersky Labs offers anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and anti-intrusion products. In 2011, the company had announced its plans to go public with an IPO, but as of February 2012, it has shelved its plans with Eugene intending to buy back a 20 percent stake sold to a PE investor in 2011.

Eugene graduated from the Institute of Cryptography, Telecommunications, and Computer Science. He worked at a multi-discipline scientific research institute till 1991, after which he joined KAMI Information Technologies Center. Natalya graduated from the Moscow Institute of Electronic Machinestry. She has worked as a research assistant at the Central Scientific Design Office.
