10 Affordable Cars To Hit The Indian Roads This Year
Honda Jazz: The Jazz came to India in the second half of 2009 with a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. It did relatively well in the first year, but then rising petrol prices paused its sales and later Honda had to cut prices to tackle growth. In fact, things deteriorated and Honda discontinued the Jazz to create room for the Amaze. Despite
the sad ending, there is good news for Honda fans that the car maker is coming back with the Jazz and this time with a diesel engine variant. The car will be the sixth addition to the Honda line up in India and will be positioned under the Amaze. The new Jazz will come with refreshing makeover and now follows a more aggressive design. It features a completely redesigned front while flaunting a new grille design. The engine of Jazz is expected to be the same as those of the Amaze with the availability of two fuel options—a 1.2-litre petrol and the new 1.5-litre diesel engine. It is said that the Honda will detune the Jazz’s diesel engine to the 90PS mark to extract better fuel efficiency from the engine and still be on par with its competitors.
