10 Affordable Cars To Hit The Indian Roads This Year
Skoda Rapid Facelift: The facelifted Skoda Rapid takes a lot of cues from the newly launched Octavia. With its square stance and well crafted headlamps, new grille
and bumper, the new Skoda Rapid looks much better than the outgoing version. The facelifted Rapid for India has been entrusted to Mahindra Engineering Services with particular emphasis on designing and tailoring the new car to suit Indian roads and sensibilities. Therefore, expect the facelifted India-spec Skoda Rapid sedan to be quite different from the Euro-spec model. The new Rapid will share the same engines as the current range does and might even add the 1.2 TSi engine replacing the 1.6 litre Petrol engine available today.
New Tata Vista: Now we are no strangers to the Indica. We have been seeing Tata’s first attempt at a passenger car since its introduction in 1998. In its lifetime it has had many incarnations but what Tata tried with the Indica Vista was to make the car feel more upmarket and youthful in an effort to appeal more to the masses. And now Tata has gone ahead and given the Vista a minor facelift. The new Vista will sport a sub 4-meter sedan. The engine options will remain the same with the 1.3 litre Diesel Multijet engine which is the most popular engine on offer from the Tata. The vista is also set to feature a couple of gizmos and gadgets like Satellite Navigation and a touch screen infotainment interface and much more.
