India's Emerging Cities Where You Would Love to Settle Down


Bangalore: People always wish and look out for an ideal location to settle down. The ‘ideal location’ is often those places that are equipped with many unique conveniences at an affordable cost. In India, there are many upcoming Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities that offer the same facilities as in bigger Tier-1 cities. Here are the names of such cities as listed by Chandralekha Mukerji for India Today based on the study by Cushman and Wakefield India.

1. Bhubaneswar, Odisha:

Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, is the largest city of the state. It is a centre of economic and religious importance in Eastern India. The city which is primarily an administrative and a tourism city have emerged as a fast-growing, important trading and commercial hub in the state and in eastern India. Along with Jamshedpur and Chandigarh, it is one of modern India's first planned cities. With an emerging Information Technology (IT) and education hub, it is one of country's fastest developing cities and is categorized as a Tier-2 city. The city is connected to all major metros by rail and air. The airport will soon get a permit for international flights as well. A bus rapid transit system has also been planned to improve city travel.
