5 Prominent Indian Politicians on Social Media
Manmohan Singh:
Our very own Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is often criticized for being inaccessible to the media, has also made his entry on social media. He started a Twitter account last year and had started his official Facebook page way back in 2008. The Official Twitter account of the Prime Minister's office gained much popularity and he has about 4, 80,000 followers. The PM’s Twitter account is frequently updated with talks about his views on current issues, his addresses to the nation as well as information on official events. The PMO also has a YouTube account that is updated regularly.
Further, in January this year a survey named PM Manmohan Singh as the 19th most followed leader in the world on Twitter, leaving behind the likes of David Cameron and Julia Gillard.
