In the midst of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, rapper Asim Riaz has pushed back his latest song release. He broke the news on Instagram that he will now release the song on 14 May, blaming the prevailing geopolitical landscape.

In light of heightened tensions between Pakistan and India after India launched recent anti-terror strikes under Operation Sindoor, rapper Asim Riaz has postponed the release of his highly anticipated song.

Initially scheduled for a previous release date, the song will be released on May 14. Asim made the announcement on Instagram, mainly attributing the delay to the current geopolitical crisis.

In his emotional post, the rapper showed concern regarding the incident, posting, "Some things are bigger than music. Prayers for peace and strength to all." Asim, being famous for his hot-headed on-screen personality and past rows with co-stars, gave no extra information about the song, including when it was originally released, nor did he comment upon its contents.

The rapper's declaration comes against the backdrop of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, especially following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in 26 fatalities.

Asim had previously condemned the attack, posting a note on social media that stated, "A valley of beauty turned into a scene of horror. Kashmir cries tonight, and so do we. Terror stole lives, futures, peace. I condemn this heinous act and pray for strength to those left behind."

The Indian Armed Forces retaliated against the Pahalgam attack with Operation Sindoor, a targeted military operation designed to eliminate terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh commanded the operation, which effectively targeted nine terror locations, not damaging any civilian infrastructure in the process. This move has escalated diplomatic tensions between the nations further, fueling the crisis even more.

Asim's choice of postponing the release of his song shows the rapper's consideration for the prevailing situation, giving higher priority to peace and unity over his working obligations at such a critical moment.
