Operation Sindoor Live Updates: Pakistan Army Continues Firing Along the LoC
The continuous shelling by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir has caused heavy casualties, leading to a strong reaction from the Indian Army. On the night of May 7 and 8, the Pakistan Army opened unprovoked firing with small arms and artillery along the LoC in sectors opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, and Akhnoor in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army retaliated in due course," a defence spokesman said in Jammu.

Operation Sindoor Live Updates: UK Parliament Debates India-Pakistan Conflict
The growing tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, which involved attacking terror camps in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, were well debated in the British Parliament. MPs from both sides of the house urged action by the UK to assist in de-escalating the conflict in the area. UK Foreign Office Minister Hamish Falconer opened the debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday, reaffirming Prime Minister Keir Starmer's previous insistence on the importance of diplomacy and dialogue.
He also raised concern regarding the individual effect of the conflict on numerous British Indians and British Pakistanis. "Our repeated message to India and Pakistan has been to exercise restraint.". They need to talk in order to achieve a quick, diplomatic way out," Falconer said. He continued, "Both countries enjoy a close and special relationship with the UK. It's depressing to see civilian lives lost. If this is escalated further, nobody will gain anything.". We have strongly condemned the dastardly terrorist attack last month," he said, referring to the Pahalgam attack, which he had termed as one of the worst attacks in the area in several years. (PTI)
