Which Executives Made The Most Egregious Errors In 2014?

#Dov Charney

Dov Charney is a Canadian businessman and the founder and former CEO of American Apparel, a clothing manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer which he started at age of 20.

Charney has been associated with several controversial lawsuits, including a $10 million lawsuit from film director Woody Allen and sexual harassment lawsuits involving ex-employees. In 2014 the issues resulting from some of these led to his dismissal as the company's CEO.

He will be replaced by Paula Schneider, president of ESP Group Ltd, company of brands like English Laundry, on January 5, 2015.

# Justin Mateen

Justin Mateen, the cofounder and CEO of the Tinder dating app, was suspended after a former executive filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the company.

Wolfe, the former vice president of marketing, was in a relationship with Mateen that ended in December, and in her suit filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court she claimed that Mateen repeatedly called her a "whore". He insulted her in front of other employees and told her that he was taking away her title of cofounder of the app because having a 24-year-old girl as cofounder devalued the company and made it "seem like a joke." Later Mateen left the company.
