Which Executives Made The Most Egregious Errors In 2014?

# Mike Jeffries

Mike Jeffries is the controversial CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch. He is usually on the controversial side for his big mouth. Mike Jeffries once said, he only wants good-looking people to wear his clothes and there is no room for fat people in his company.

One of the investor got ignited from his comments and issued a nine-page, detailed letter urging the company to replace Jeffries, and that renewing his contract would hamper company’s growth.

Eventually the company sales fell and the stock dropped by 15 percent the following year, leading Jeffries to get over his role as Abercrombie chairman in January  and to retire in early December.

# Heather Cho

Heather Cho was the vice-president of Korean Air and the CEO of KAL Hotel Network. Cho was subject of a December 2014 news report that she ordered a Korean Air Lines plane to return to the gate to force the chief flight attendant off the plane because a packet of macadamia nuts were served to her in a bag rather than on a plate. Under Cho's orders, the flight attendant was allegedly forced to kneel down before her and beg for forgiveness, and was immediately fired.

When the incident became public there was a popular backlash against Cho and Korean Air. Korean Air responded to the popular anger by forcing Cho to resign from her job as vice-president. Contrary to the early cover-up, criminal charges are now being sought against her. Korean Air is expected to be fined around $2 million.
