India's 9 Prominent Brand Battles
4. The Times of India Vs The Hindu
While talking about brand rivalry, proving the opponent as weak and misleading is very much common. But when it comes to the rivalry of the leading newspapers, some severe fights can be expected.
After ‘Times of India’ (TOI) came up with the ‘Wake Up Chennai’ campaign, ‘The Hindu’ took it as a direct attack on them. In order to fight back to TOI’s campaign, Hindu started asking their readers to stay ahead of time and also said that they offer current affairs and not chit-chats about the film industry to their readers.
5. Micromax Vs Apple
Almost every product of Apple has their own craze among the tech lovers and it cannot be replaced by any other brands. But after Micromax decided to launch their smartphone ‘A 70’, with a very lower price tag, they gave a huge blow to Apple.
Micromax released a series of ads which were directly pointed towards Apple’s ‘iPhone 4S’. Those ads said: ‘i (can afford this) Phone 4S(ure)’.
