For 13 years, Sasken Communication Technologies has been synonymous with the telecom R&D outsourcing in India. The consolidated revenues for the nine months ended December 31, 2005, stood at $52.27 million in comparison to $37.95 million for the comparative period last year, registering a growth of 37.6 percent.

With a strong intellectual property (IP) base, the company has been able to partner marquee like Intel, Nortel Networks and Nokia. Sasken has a ‘hybrid’ model that involves offering a mix of software products and services complimentary to each other. Commitment to research, filing of patents and protection of inventions are significant to Sasken’s business.

Sasken Chairman and CEO, Rajiv Mody said, “Our services business continues to show momentum with a healthy increase in offshore revenues. The Service Provider offering that we launched last quarter has helped us make inroads with global operators. Another exciting development was the launch of our Mexico development center in keeping with our near shore strategy to deliver to customers.”

Sasken’s initial public offer in August 2005 was subscribed by over 78 times.
