Chennai Real Estate Awards 2013: Felicitating the Best of the Real Estate Industry

Having being tagged as the cultural capital down south, Chennai is modest in upholding its commercial segments. What more, after Bangalore, it is regarded as the emerging hub of housing the IT-industry, the healthcare and the automobile industry. There's not just heat rising up in Chennai, but also with the emergence of various other industrial sectors, the real estate is into a sudden bloom too. With the establishment of industries sectoring various segments, the want of skilled-labor is also large. With some of the easy transport facilities like Metro already present and reaching out to various parts of the city, the need to move to the city is more like a luxury.
Silicon India in association with DHFL, initiated the less known but much important "The Chennai Real Estate Awards 2013" an event for recognizing the contribution of realty industrial professionals who in a way landmarked a city by their aesthetic and strong apparent structures.
Mr. Anil Nair, Assistant Vice President & Zonal Head, Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) Tamil Nadu first addressed the gathering giving valuable insight on DHFL and its distinct advantage in the Real Estate market. Following the addressing Mr. Anil Nair also launched SiliconIndia's "Real Estate Year Book 2013" which would be an yearly publication providing information about the present Real Estate industry thus lending a sharp advantage for the Home Buyers.
As much as 12 categories of awards being named, the category reasoned out to the level of innovation, the use of technology and the impartial manner in which these executions affect the infrastructure of the city and its people.
The panel as the jury for the awards was an elite one comprising of people making remarkable contributions in their respective fields. Dr. K. Gunashekaran, PHD holder in concrete technology and a popular figure at the SRM University was one of the panelists for the awards, the other list included, Alok Chaturvedi COO & publisher Siliconindia.com and P. Bakianathun regional owner at RE/MAX CHENNAI.
Out of the 80 total nominations received the very efficient stood out for their significant contribution in developing the city's infrastructure, bringing in foreign investments and expanding the real estate geography across the city.

The Young achiever award was won by Mr. Ramasamy, Managing Director; KRS Constructions.
