#4 CIOs’ IT spending to fall as business’s influence grows

The changing trend in Asia Pacific is that, a number of business stakeholders are making IT purchases out of their own business budgets which in turn are shrinking the CIOs’ tech budgets. In 2012, the CIOs controlled 58 percent of enterprise IT procurement decisions, but that number is now down to 51 percent. They expect the situation to accelerate further as businesses prioritize acquiring systems that aid them in achieving their organization’s growth objectives.

#3 Customer experience will make ground as a CIO priority

Customers of this era, being digitally informed and empowered, are forcing organizations to rethink their policies and the manner in which the customers are engaged. “87 percent of Indian CIOs say that addressing customers’ rising expectations and improving satisfaction is a high or critical priority,” read the blog. But for this change to happen CIOs will have to radically shift their focus, which will have a domino effect, so as to target customer experience better.
