According to Forrester, two-thirds of Indian CIOs are planning on increasing their expenditure on BI (business intelligence), real-time customer and business analytics. They also stress on the fact that Indian companies must understand the rapidly changing customer behavior in order to better serve and retain customers, all the while focusing on ROI (return on investment) and linking the spending to distinctly define business outcomes.

#1 Cloud usage will grow, but managing hybrid approaches will be difficult

Cloud computing is already here and is expected to grow further in the coming year. Forrester predict the demand for cloud based services like storage and disaster recovery will continue to increase, as two-thirds of CIOs are devising a comprehensive cloud strategy and implementation plan. But legacy systems combined with inconsistent download speeds and latency issues are likely to hinder the large scale migration of enterprise applications to the cloud in India.
